Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia was born on February 26, 1994, in the town of Khudan in the Indian state of Haryana. He is one of India's most accomplished wrestlers and has received several awards throughout his career.

Punia participates as a freestyle wrestler in the 65 kg weight division. At the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and World Championships, he garnered a number of medals. At the 2018 Asian Games, the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and the 2019 World Championships, he took home gold, silver, and bronze medals, respectively. A bronze medal was also earned by him at the 2019 Asian Wrestling Championships.

Punia's greatest accomplishment was winning a silver medal in the 2018 World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary. At the same competition in 2019, he also took home a bronze medal.

Bajrang Punia has received a number of accolades in addition to his athletic accomplishments. In addition to the Padma Shri award, one of India's highest civilian accolades, he has received the coveted Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna medal, the country's top sports distinction.

Bajrang Punia is known for his aggressive style of wrestling and his ability to take down opponents quickly. He continues to inspire young wrestlers in India with his dedication and hard work.
